I often scour maps to see what places I might find that are less traveled by most people. That is how I found the Bog.
The Bog is a large, moderately acidic, wetland trapped between large drumlins. It abounds with native foliage and requires permission to enter to protect it.
These vines caught my eye, growing up and twisting around in strange shapes. I have seen these types of vines in other places in Western NY, but none so interesting as this one.
